This is a modern re-issue kit that I have updated with vintage hardware to appear more accurate. I applied the Ludwig rail consolette, L-Arm cymbal mount, and 5/16" curved bass drum spurs. I prefer using the 24" Giant Beat ride with this kit, as well as the Stainless Steel kit, because I prefer the sizzle and tone of the cymbal compared to modern 2002 24" ride cymbals. I find the modern 2002's are heavier and more pronounced in their sound than what Bonham played, and so the Giant Beat is more accurate for me in that regard, even though he rarely used a Giant Beat ride with the Vistalite, and never with the Stainless Steel kit.
