I missed the show at the HOB San Diego because friends of mine came into town begging me to go see UFO at the Key Club on Friday so I relent (excellent show) but I told them only if the come with me to Ventura on Saturday and they were blown away!!!!They found out quick this is just not another tribute band these guys GOT SKILL and SOUL. Swan is always outstanding and really impressed the newbees with the acoustic set with his choreography. All those guys saw the video's and they said he was right on. Steve did a great job as always and threw a little extra into Trampled Underfoot to an enthusiastic crowd. Jim Wooten as usual is nailing it with Good Times Bad Times. Many people wanted Moby Dick which I told them you need to come AGAIN Jim Kersey is awesome. After I got to take a walk on the beach and reflect all the good vibes....great venue...great crowd!!! I had people call me this week and told me they saw the 2 second snipit of Zepagain on the Hollywood Park advertisment which I also saw...very cool You guys are the best see you at Hollywood Park. Hey Hey what can I do!!!
Incredible show I've been a fan of the music since 1970 which is mind boggling beause I was born in 1983. Those vocals...damn, they go under my skin and that guitar...geez...feels like being inside a beautiful woman and shes going from soft soothing moans to clenched teeth and pulling my hair. The band all together, the music, its in my heart and it'll never go away thanx for doing what you guys do. I'll catch you guys later and probably recording the whole show on my cell again. :) With much love and respect! -Rick
WOW>>>What a great show you all put on last saturday nite..thank you so very much for comming up to porthuneme..I live in Ventura and brought both of my boys and girlfriend. We all had a really great evening and i have been watching you for the past 6yrs and yes you seem to get better all the time...like thats even possible..It would be nice to see you at the Majestic theater if ever possible, Thanks again for ROCKEN my world....Q-Z
Gentlemen, thank you so much for another smoking hot show at Santa Fe Springs swap meet! It s amazing to watch how many people drop their shopping bags and come running when the music begins. We were treated to over 3 and 1/2 hours of the best music ever created, for the paltry fee of one dollar. As hot as it was, you guys never lost your energy to perform in top notch fashion through the entire 3 sets. I had a lot of fun partying up close to the stage (as usual), this time with Lyle, Lori and Chryss. It s always great to spot familiar faces from previous shows and share the smiles and energy with each other. I spoke to several first timers who we ll be seeing at future shows. They were wearing some mighty big grins! Congratulations to Swan and Tara on your new addition! May you all be blessed. You are welcome Lori. Sorry it took so long to get delivered. Just think of it as a personal insulin kit, for when you just gotta have a Zepagain fix! I m looking forward to your August show in Signal Hill, although June may very well find me at Lake Arrowhead. Got my fingers crossed for another Grove show sometime soon, I love that place. Sorry there wasn t much time afterwards to chat. I wanted to mention to you all, Patrick s band was one of several that opened for Sabbat at the Whisky on April 17th. It was a blast watching him jam on the same stage shared by so many incredible performers, including the awesome Led Zepagain. Thank you again for doing what you all do so well. May all your shows be filled with a Whole Lotta Love. Rich, Patrick and Victoria Myers
Lyle, don't forget that your beer was not the only casualty that day. One of mine got swept away in the storm as well. A tough moment indeed.... But it's nobody's fault but mine for having placed them there.... that's what happens when you try to stock up in between sets so that you don't have to break away from the stage and miss a beat during the show. Boys, you guys are a true testament to musicianship. Whether it's rain or snow, mega-blazing heat or arctic breeze, you guys still put on a bitchin' show. I kept looking to the sides and checking to see if an EMT was around, cuz the place was burning down. Yet you guys were cool as ever. Thank you for playing Dancing Days, HMMT, Trampled, What Is and What Should Never Be... umm, my memory is really limited to the first set, vague by the 2nd and damn gone by the 3rd. But I KNOW I had an amazing time. It was good rocking out with Lyle. Rich, thank you so much for that beautiful gift and the printed message. If you were any sweeter, I'd be in diabetic shock. On to the next adventure, SAN DIEGO!
Not just WOW!, but WOW WOW!! To review: front row with Lori and Rich, nearly 4 hours of all 5 senses trying to absorb Led Zepagain (yes that was my beer that spilled on the stage).....the only words I can come up with are: It's Monday and I'm still there! I can't stand remotely close to still when you're playing ANYTHING! Why WOULD I? It's just the most fun - although difficult to watch all 4 of you at the same time! Your shows....well the words that come to mind are; ya just got to LOVE THAT!! Thanks to all of you, just plain thanks! PLEASE keep up the good work!
This concert was SOO awesome! I love Led Zepagain! I really appreciate the fact that you guys continue to keep alive Led Zeppelin's amazing music, and you guys do an extraordinary job! I am a very big fan of yours! <3 By the way... I purchased 2 tickets to their show and now unfortunately, I won t be able to make it due to other things that came up. So, now I am selling them, $20 off the entire cost of the tickets. Venue: House of Blues-Anaheim Date: May 25th, 2008 (Sunday) Time: 8pm General Admission Anyways, below is the link with all the detailed info about the event. If you have any questions feel free to ask! By the way, shipping is free. =) Below is the link: EBAY LINK Thanks for the rockin' music!
Amazing sound, amazing presence badass feel altogether. I went to your show alone cause a few of my friends were skeptical about seeing a tribute band. I caught a bit of your show on my cell phone and showed it off to a few people here and there. I felt so damn proud to do so I had a smile on my face as others watched you guys on my phone. :) I showed my girlfriend and she really liked it we'll be seeing you guys on Saturday at Santa Fe Springs Swapmeet. Later!
Hey Boys!!! My hats off to you for another wildly exciting gig. Thank you for playing THANK YOU!!!! Holy shit, I just about cried from excitement because it's been so long since we last heard that one from you. Another wonderful surprise was IN THE EVENING.... Steve, I appreciate it when you take time out to correct technical issues going on with your equipment. We're not happy unless you're happy, LOL! Swan, CONGRATULATIONS on the birth of your boy!!! Blessings to you, Tara and Finn. Also, all of the opening bands were great, but Danny's band, La Grange was completely OFF THE HOOK!!!! Can't wait to see them open up for you again at the HOB of San Diego! XOXOXO to you all, --L. :) p.s. -- Please play "NO EFFEN QUARTER" in San Diego, hahaha. p.p.s. - a little Dazed and Confused wouldn't hurt nobody in San diego either! :)
This is a shout out to the fans that had attended the Whiskey March 29 show Zepagain flat came out and Rocked the house from beginning to end and were terrific and the crowd was into it. My point is if this was the first time seeing the band and enjoyed it, you REALLY REALLY NEED to come out to another show so you can experience there acoustic/mandolin songs such as "Going to California","Thats the Way" and the always crowd pleasing "Bron-Y-Ur-Stomp" as example!! There is SO Much Music I have never seen Zepagain play the same sets which makes every show unique and exciting. Sometimes they will throw the hilarous Rockabilly "Hotdog" at you which is a lot of fun but rarely played. In short come see Zepagain play at Paldinos, Santa Fe Springs and or The House of Blues each night is distinguishing and special...see you there!!!Hey Hey What Can I Do
Friends and I went to see the show at PALA on Saturday the 5th. We have been to the venue many times in the past but we have never seen it like this, it was packed to capacity with folks standing outside to listen to the music. The show was awesome as always and the band was hot and rocking the house down. If you wanted to get anywhere near the stage it was standing room only. Swan was shaking all he had, as were the ladies and gentlemen dancing where they stood. The acoustic set had the people clapping and stomping their feet and they all enjoyed the sweeeet mandolin picking from Jim Wooten. The crowd went wild over Jimmy Kersey s drum solo and were completely mesmerized by Steve s guitar virtuosity from beginning to end. Hell of a show guys, come back real soon so we can get some more Led in San Diego county.
I have never seen a poor performance by Led Zepagain but every once in a while you get one that out classes the standard show. It was easy to see the band was psyched for playing there for the first time. During the opening three songs, ROCK AND ROLL, HEARTBREAKER, LIVING LOVING MADE Zukowsky was on fire and the rest of the band was right there with him. There was no let up through the rest of the show. The venue was nice and even though at capacity still very comfortable. Lots of new people in the house seeing Zepagain for the first time and you know it won't be their last. Ramble on, Mark 224
I saw you guys at the Pala Casino show last night and my friends and I were absolutely blown away. Covering a band like Zeppelin is a hard act to follow but you guys were unbeleiveable. You were so close to the real thing, we couldn't beleive how tight you were. It was one of the funnest and most enjoyable shows that I have been to in a long time. We hope to se you again soon.
This was the 2nd time I saw you in concert, first time about 4 years ago at House of Blues in Anaheim. Greatly enjoyed the Pala Casino concert tonight. It put me back into my high school years, 8 track tapes, when a 1/4 lb. hamburger, fries, and a coke was 99 cents, when I used to listen to 94.7 the Mighty Met (KMET)on the radio in Los Angeles, working on one of my many projects in my garage. Congratulations on having been invited to the Led Zeppelin reunion concert you spoke of at tonight's concert.
I made the trek out to San Bernardino on the 22nd to see you at Stinger's, your first time at that venue. The place itself is pretty nice. Reminded me very much of Paladino's. I saw several of the Zepagain faithful there. I am sure they will agree with me when I say -- that stage was way too small for you! Jim W. was hidden behind the wall of amps, and Jim K. was in the shadows. The lights seemed to only shine on Swan and Steve. Don't know if that was by design or not, but you are four parts of one machine and you all need your time in the lights. OK, enough of that. On to the show itself. The crowd was pretty good. And, of course, you just knew that as the evening wore on, people would start climbing on the counter that separated the crowd from you and they did not disappoint! One of the things I liked the most about the San Bernardino crowd is that there was lots of dancing going on. That's what Zeppelin music is all about -- sexy, dancing music!!! Swan, I forgive you for saying that the San Bernardino crowd was much better than the L.A. crowd. I know that's just something that bands say. You know -- "Peoria, you have the best fans in the world" or "Duluth, wish we could take you on tour with us!" LOL! As for the show itself, stellar as usual. You broke out the smoke machine and green lasers which was awesome. You guys always rock it, and I am never disappointed. Ever. The highlight of the night -- Dazed and Confused. When Steve pulled out the bow, people went crazy, including me. It was HOT! I didn't make it to The Whiskey and I won't be able to make it to Pala, but I will see you at Paladino's on the 19th. How about adding "Celebration Day" to the set list for that night??? That would be awesome! See you soon -- Gil
I saw you guys at the Whiskey a few days ago and wanted to say the show was amazing. And I just read Steve's account of when Jimmy Page came to see you guys and that is one mind blowing story. Congrats guys. You deserve every word!!!!
Well, it had been almost a year to the day since I saw you last year at The Whiskey a go-go (my first time at the legendary spot). So I was pumped to make my 7th Zepagain show a year later again at The Whiskey. With 5 opening bands the schedule of the night got pushed back and the set seemed to get short because of it. This time I brought my girl to her first Zepagain show. She thought you were great. She's learning Zep. After seeing "The Song Remains the Same" for years I loved that you opened with "Rock and Roll" as they did during that period. The third song was "Nobody's Fault But Mine" and it smoked. One of my favorite things about seeing you is the surprises in the set list. "Immigrant Song" was it this time as I had not seen you do that one yet. I have never seen "Achilles Last Stand" but I'll be at the Anaheim House of Blues" in May (hint hint). Once again your sound was impeccable and so glad you're still keeping the magic alive as your helping my girl really discover Led Zeppelin. Her favorite is "In Through the Out Door". I'm bringing her to Anaheim H.O.B. in May. So maybe... Anyway, I still trip on you every time because you know all the songs and they all sound perfect. Plus, all the details like the drum kit which is an exact replica of Bonzo's, the symbols on the amp and keyboards and the costumes. As a long time Zep fanatic and one who has studied the history of the band, I can fully appreciate everything in your performance. Thanks again for being so good and enthusiastic. It is fully appreciated by those of us who know. Ive got one more request for May H.O.B.. Ive never seen you do "Hey Hey What Can I Do?". Looking forward to Anaheim. See you there.
For years my uncle, who lives out in L.A., has been telling me about this incredible zeppelin tribute based in L.A. I haven't been out that way since the late 90's, but he kept telling me that when I come back we're going to go see Led Zeppagain (and Which One's Pink). You can imagine my sheer joy when I was paging through the Hibbing Daily Tribune on Easter sunday and saw the advertisement that Led Zeppagain was going to do a show at Fortune Bay Casino. For anyone reading this from Cali, Fortune Bay is a rustic casino located on the shores of Lake Vermillion in northeastern MN. It is literally 20 miles from the end of civilization. This is the woods. Anyway to get back on track... my wife and I made the hour drive from Hibbing to Fortune Bay last night. A very peaceful drive through the woods as we listened to zeppelin 2 and houses of the holy. We are both huge zeppelin fans and my wife is 8 months pregnant due on April 25th. Each of our first two children were at concerts in the womb, so what a great show for this one to go to. When we got to the casino we ate in the restaurant there and we ate a few tables over from Jim Wooten. We recognized him from the promo posters. We thought about buying his dinner, but then figured the casino probably comped his meals. We were a little disappointed in the size of the crowd. The place probably sat about 250 and there were maybe 200 people. Really surprising because in northeast minnesota people are basically either classic rock or country fans. We got there an hour early in anticipation that it would be sold out, as tickets had to be bought at the door. I think if this would have been on a weekend it would have been standing room only. All I can say about the shoe is that we were awstruck. My wife and I have seen Aussie Floyd a few times, and have also said that they were the best tribute band we've seen, but you guys blew them away. It was just f*cking awesome. They opened with Rock & Roll, about 30 seconds into the song we just both looked at each other and were just blown away. Jim Kersey just drove that beat just like Bonzo. He was driving the bus. All four guys were phenomenal. I wish I kept track of the set list, but I was just to caught up in the moment. So many times I looked over at my wife and without having to say anything we would just smile or shake our head in complete enjoyment at what we were witnessing. Moby Dick was such a treat. The way you guys interact with the audience was awesome. To many times there is not any intimacy between the band and the crowd, but you guys had it going. The encore was Immigrant Song, and what spectacular way to the end the show. When the whole crowd was standing and that beat kicked in people went nuts. It was just great. As we walked out people around me just couldn't believe what they had just witnessed. I think going into it most people had no idea what they were about to see. You guys are a 5-star act and I applaud you for your obvious committment and study of the zeppelin catalog. Your story about being invited out to the December gave me goosebumps. By the time I worked my way into the casino to drop my $20 into the slots I had a sense of sadness knowing that you guys were going to be packing up and going back west. Please, please, please come back. When you come to Moondance Jam my wife and I will be there. Since it will be outside and the noise factor not as much an issue, I'll be taking my 4 year old son with. He has been watching the double disc DVD since he was 18 months old, can pick the band members out of pictures, knows who's who and who plays what. My wife and I's only regret was not being able to hang out after the show and get to meet you guys, but with two small kids, a babysitter, and a pregnant wife who had just been at a kick @ss concert for the last two hours we figured it would be best to get out of there. Again, please, please come back this way again. WE NEED MORE. You get to make your living playing Zeppelin...man what a life.
Hello guys. Your show at Fortune Bay last night was amazing. I couldn't believe how great you sounded. When you said your mission was to bring the music of Led Zeppelin to a new generation and keep the special feeling that their music brings, believe me, you did an incredible job! You all put so much passion into it. That is what Led Zeppelin means to me. There is no other feeling like listening to them hit that groove and just keep going. Your band brought the same sense energy and amazingness to the show. I hope you decide to keep doing shows around here because it was incredible. Thank you for the great show. Rock on guys! PS- Thanks for the guitar pick and handshake after the the show Steve!! Hope to see you soon. -Jake
My Beloved Boys, I am still reeling from the awesome show that night. I just want to reiterate how much I love it when you guys pair up with Steel Rod. The first four songs as a medley just blew me away. They REALLY kept the momentum going. I stood along the back during Steel Rod because the floor area was cleared so that those who had seats could enjoy the view. But we all swarmed the floor like roaches in the gutter once you all came out on stage! Those that were seated had to get up and join us headbangers out in front. Trampled (with Keith!!!) Levee, Bron-Yr-Stomp and How Many More Times were AMAZING!!!! And a mega-special thanks for playing BOTH of my requests, The Wanton Song and Sick Again. I bow down to you, my fantastic four!!! Sorry that I wasn't able to make it to the Vegas show, although I had every intention of going. And it turns out that I'll be missing both the Tijuana and Anaheim HOB shows too (I'm mega sad, but I'll be out of the country on those dates. Plus watching you guys in Mexico is ALWAYS fun!) I was recently both watching and listening to the O2 show and that just reaffirmed for me what an excellent job you boys perform. You are true to the actual Zep form. Plus I firmly believe that YOU, LED ZEPAGAIN inspired the actual Zep boys to perform "For Your Life" at the show. Even though I haven't been able to make it to as many shows as I used to, nor have I been able to make any recent crazy road trips like I used (glad you had a chance to do that too, Sandi!) I hope that you KNOW that I will remain faithful to you and I'll keep coming to the shows! Hugs to you all and thanks again for making me smile, --L. :)
What an amazing experience we have had! My husband and I took a ride to La Quinta with a friend in tow to watch four fantastic musicians play their hearts out to that timeless Led Zeppelin music that we all know and love. We were a little upset because we were late (I missed the exit... I had tried to pass up an Oversized Load truck ;ob). Much to our surprise, when we drove up to the park the band wasn't playing. It turned out that something went wrong with the sound, and we only missed two songs. Right after we parked, the sound went back on and everyone was ready to Rock'N'Roll (Divine intervention maybe? Hmm)! It was a beautiful day for an outdoor concert; blue skies, a nice cool breeze, and a very bright sun. There was an artist there and Swan gave her the opportunity to show her painting of Jimmy Page that she had done. It was quite sweet how proud her boyfriend was of her talent (Great job, BTW). Swan, Steve, Jim and Jim jammed to perfection, everyone was soaking in the music, and we left completely satisfied. We only had one hour to pack and leave when I found out we were going to Folsom. On our trip up there we noticed how many great rock radio stations there are north of the Grapevine, while there's nothing but c-r-a-p in L.A. (Hint, hint, L.A.)! We arrived at the Powerhouse Pub just in time for the guys to start. It was too packed for me to be able to see anything, but it didn't matter because my husband was able to get close enough to show our support; so I just closed my eyes and drank in the music. After the show we decided not to get a room, and drove another couple of hundred miles to a town called Oroville to see some old friends (This is a really funny story... I had to tell it). We planned on surprising them in the morning, and drove up at 4:30 a.m. We knew our friends very well, and had joked about what would happen when we surprised them. We just didn't expect to wake them up. But true to our friend's form, he came out all disheveled, shotgun in hand (yes, that's what I said... and what we expected!), ready to shoot and ask questions later. Turned out they had installed video cameras on their property since our last visit (no, not because of us), and were alerted to us being there. After the "commotion", they went back to bed and we woke up in the morning, had some great laughs and food, hung out for the day; then left later that afternoon towards Brentwood. Something seemed a little off to us that night (besides the sleepy crowd, sorry Brentwood) at PeeWee Muldoon's, but we couldn't place what it was because Zepagain didn't show it. It wasn't until much later in the show that we were told of how sick Swan was... Swan, BRAVO, nobody should have to work like that when they are sick; and, THANK YOU SO MUCH, for not canceling the show... After that concert, I decided to drive home (three total hours sleep in 48 hours), stopped at every rest stop for some fresh air, and of course, rocked all the way home to my Zepagain CD's, our Led Zeppelin DVD, and Rock Radio (until we hit L.A. again, hint hint, L.A.!). We tried to talk my mom into going to Vegas with us, but instead she volunteered AGAIN to watch our youngest daughter, and we were off to Vegas this time! So glad to see Swan was feeling better, and back to his wonderful self again! Steve, Jim and Jim, you guys looked totally psyched that night. The crowd was pumped, but in my opinion could have been bigger... I mean hey, we were in Vegas, Baby! Bet you guys didn't think we were going to be in Tempe, AZ, too, did you?! I couldn't help but think that you guys thought we were totally crazy by then... You were great as usual (even though the wire on the mic kept coming loose). The people in Tempe were really nice, and they couldn't get enough of you. I know how you like to invite the kids up to "air guitar" and rock out onstage, and couldn't help but smile when the parents of this boy thought he was leaving them, and I had to reassure them that you were inviting him up... You totally made his day, maybe even month! We made it back home from Tempe (after 2 hours of traffic in Phoenix, alone), and this time took my mom, and our 10-year-old daughter to B.B. King's. A couple of hours before the show, Jim Wootten's son had approached us at CityWalk (my daughter was wearing her ZEPAGAIN shirt) and we had told him how much we enjoyed his dad's work. We were happy to be treated later at the show to a Father/Son piece with Keith banging on the bass to TRAMPLED UNDERFOOT alongside his dad on the Keyboards. (Oops, someone accidentally kicked Steve's cord out of the amp ;ob) Still, a totally cool night. Well, that's it! Sorry I was so winded, but I must say to everyone who hasn't been as crazy as us traveling "with the band" (for lack of a better phrase), to try it. It's been a helluva trip, extremely memorable, and an experience, in my opinion, not much unlike what a band may go through when they have to travel. We were able to see the Ups and Downs that a band goes through during a concert... and we'd do it again. Much love and peace until we meet again. (To say you guys really knocked us out is a serious understatement! Thanks for being such great fans!! - Zepagain)
Every time I see you, I always say, "THIS was the best show EVER." Well, the B. B. King's show was the best show ever! It was so much fun and such a great venue, too. It has been a while since you played there. I wonder what it must look like to you, looking out from the stage at the people hanging over the railings of the second and third balconies. I thought it was really special that Jim Wooten's son came on stage to play bass on Trampled Underfoot. He totally rocked it, too! A really great show, but the best song of the night: When the Levee Breaks. I actually requested that song as it was my 25th show and I wanted to hear something I hadn't heard in a long time. I tried to submit the request but couldn't get it to go through. Whether you received my request or not, I don't know, but I like to think that you played WTLB just for me! :-) I'm still flying high from Friday's show and I can't wait for the next one. Thank you all for keeping the spirit alive. See you at The Whiskey! (Thanks Gil! Thanks to Capt Ron & Lady Joy, Check out a YouTube video of Trampled Underfoot with Jim's son, Keith, HERE!)
I saw you guys last night, and i have to say it was the best show I've seen yet. I've only seen you guys 4 times including this time, and I'm a huge fan! Anytime you are in LA I try to go. Most of all I loved that you guys played "When The Levee Breaks" Awesome harmonica and guitar and drums and bass and vocals and vibe. Un-fuckin-believable. Thanks guys! Zep Fan
Hi Guys, I was in House of Blues of Las Vegas on the 03/07/2008 where I was able to see them play. I admit that when I closed my eyes (in few moments), I saw all the guys of Zep playing in front of me, such the intensity, energy, vibration and competence of yours. I could return in the time tunnel and to review a lot of things of my life, when I walked for the highways of Brazil in the end of the sixties and beginning of the seventies, to the sound of that that I consider the largest band of Rock and Roll of the world. Boys thank you very much for the music and for the set list. I wait see them again. Thank you very much Plant, Page, John and John Paul for the wonderful night that you provided me. Beto Prado Bass Player Sao Paulo - Brasil
Before returning to New Brunswick, Canada, my wife and I spent our last night in Las Vegas by taking in the show at the House of Blues in the Mandalay Bay Hotel. When Zepagain started playing - we couldn't believe it - they sounded incredible! We didn't want the show to end. It was definitely the highlight of our trip. We got a chance to meet and chat with Steve and Jim at the end of the show - great guys! If Led Zepagain ever wanted to visit the east coast of Canada, people up here would pay alot more than what we had to pay at the House of Blues to see such a great tribute band! Thanks for the great show guys!
Once again, AWESOME show! We love you guys! We have seen your show many times at Cooperstown and Marquee. This time we took our 9 yr old son and he got to go up on stage to rock with you guys! He still hasn't touched the ground!! Thanks SO MUCH for a great time- please hurry back to AZ!
HEY GUYS, GREAT SHOW AGAIN, IN TEMPE ARIZONA. SEEING YOU IN FOLSOM CA. WAS A MUST SEE AGAIN. GOT MY ZEP FIX AGAIN!
Great show last night at the Powerhouse - hard to believe Swan was still getting over being sick! Guitar was incredible. Bass and Drums were awesome too! Had a great time - singing and dancing along. Thanks for playing 10 years gone - which I requested by email - was beautiful! I was dancing behind the cool guy in the wheelchair - btw - Swan - you have the Plant hand movements down better than he does! Can't wait for next P-house show!
The San Diego House of Blues show was just great. This was my first trip down to see Zepagain in San Diego since Zepstock and I was happy I made the trip. Last Friday nights show has to rate as close to perfect as you guys can get. I was up in the lodge and surrounded by first timers and they were all blown away, nothing unusual with that. They were also very impressed with my ability to call out your set list with over 90% accuracy, but then again I have seen a few shows. I am still waiting for Steve Z. to break out the green laser we saw first week of January at Sunset HoB. I guess the Galaxy and HoB San Diego did not rate as big enough shows for the effect. Too bad. Good to hear OVER THE HILLS AND FAR AWAY, it's been a while for me. Also, it seems like recently Zepagain has dusted off THAT'S THE WAY for the acoustic set. I would like to see BLACK COUNTRY WOMAN make into rotation again as well. And while I have let you guys rest for a couple of years it may be time to start asking/harrassing you guys for a new song or two. ROYAL ORLEANS and BOOGIE WITH STU sure would be good to hear! Nothing is to obscure to Zeppelin fans as noted by a number of fans who can't believe you do FOR YOUR LIFE. Ramble on, Mark 223
Saw you at HOB San Diego Feb 22...outrageous show. I'm a jazz guitarist but never forgot my roots. You reminded me of that. Please keep it up.
It has been a while for a review...sorry guys. Lets start with the Quiet Cannon (Montebello)Rick Ortiz always puts together Top-notch shows and this one was no different Steel Rod opened then Zepagain took over although the heat had to be unbearable at times. Mr. Ortiz was on it though dealing towels to the band with refreshments as well. Paladinos (Reseda) was a special show for my wife and I we had friends come to the show and had a wonderful time!!! I almost forget how much I love "How many more times" and "Heartbreaker" is always a treat Steve breaks out the bow on a silver platter and its all over!!!! Swan always kicks butt with "Nobodys fault but mine"!!!! By the way "Achilles Last Stand" was my friends favor Zep song!!! Great show many thanks for the experiance guys!!!! At the Galaxy (Santa Ana) my wife and I got there late by taking a wrong turn but got there just in time for Led Zepagain and the show was powerful and exciting...the crowd was huge and into it!!! Steve's version of "The Song Remains the Same" gets better and better everytime I hear it. Jim Wooten with the mandolin,Steve with the acoustic and Swan really took us on a journey with "Going to California". Jim Kersey playing "Moby Dick" is unbelieveable..as many times as I have seen it I still am in awe!!! Great concert Zepagain..till next time
Made my sixth Zepagain show last night. Another unbeleivable performance. Its been awhile since I caught you guys and last night made me ask myself why. Ive told a lot of people about you since I saw you the first time at HHOB a couple years ago. I got there and found out it was sold out but luckily there was a guy outside that had tickets. Which I paid $20 for. Loved how you copied the opening from O2. I always look forward to the surprises in the set list with you guys. Ive never seen much from ITTOD though. Accept Fool in the Rain once at the Whiskey. I will be the next Whiskey show in March. Maybe that night eh? Thanks for doing what you do and keeping the music and magic alive. Unbeleivable renditions of the live version from the Song blows me away every time. See you at the Whiskey.
Saw you at Paladino's Saturday night for the 12th time in the last 4 years. I'd say it was one of the best shows yet. It's easy to see why you guys keep doing it. You're great! I appriciate the chance to "relive" live music played as good as the original. Thanks.
WOW, you guys are truly amazing! everybody was spot on with the recreations of the real thing...i have grown up on the east coast and have only ever seen the tribute band ZOSO and i thought that they were probably as good as it gets as far as recreating a led show..but i was was way off -- you guys totally kick their ass!!
Very fun show, My ears will probally ring for a good while. Saddly your part of the show was not long enough and I only got the chance to talk to Mr.Wooten. Thanks for the great show, Owen
Many many many Thanks for all the work you guys do , mucho trabajo poco dinero , what a great show Friday!!!! My boys Thank you for the drum sticks and the pick , boy did that LIGHT up their life, they could not wait to get home and practice!!
I JUST WANTED TO LET YOU GUYS KNOW THAT I WAS AT YOUR SHOW FRIDAY AT PERISHING SQUARE AND I WAS BLOWN AWAY.... YOU GUYS ARE VERY TALENTED. YOU PUT ON A GREAT SHOW AND IT SAYS ALOT ABOUT ALL OF YOU THAT YOU DID IT FOR THE LOVE OF MUSIC... AND YOUR DESIRE TO ENTERTAIN PEOPLE LIKE ME. I CANT STOP TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT YOUR SHOW... SO THANK YOU ALL FOR A GREAT TIME ... AND I WILL MAKE SURE TO SEE YOU GUYS AGAIN WHEN YOUR BACK AROUND... KEEP IT UP YOUR ALL AMAZING MUSICIANS AND GREAT ENTERTAINERS... THANKS AGAIN FOR THE SHOW....
I saw Led Zeppelin in the late 70s i was only a kid then but have listened to their music since. I crank up your cds at the firehouse when the crew is working out and they all love your perfection to the real thing. Keep it up guys. I cant wait to see your next show. You guys Rock. Go ZEP
The frenzy began the night before for me, when other friends tried to get tickets and realized that the show had been sold out. I patted myself on my back for having bought my tickets in advance (I learned the hard way last year. Plus, I also scored by having made dinner reservations, which also maxed out that same night.)This all facilitated early entry into the venue and securing front-row/barricade space. Which One's Pink? put on a great set. I want them to play Atom Heart Mother next time. :) Then my boys came on stage and tore it up with Good Times, Bad Times. From the first notes, I got chills imagining what it must have been like in the O2 arena to have heard those first notes. In my humble opinion, In My Time of Dying deserves special recognition. This version was just amazing and we were all jumping up and down, oh my Jesus! Jim Wootten is the MASTER during Trampled Underfoot. The song embodies pure funk and Jim just dominates throughout. I firmly believe that Led Zeppelin took a cue from Led Zepagain and gained the inspiration to perform For Your Life in London for the first time ever. Zepagain does an outstanding job with this song. No Quarter is always such a treat for me, and Steve's solo just floors me every single time. Since I've Been Loving You, a long-time favorite of mine, was killer!!!!!!! And yes, I screamed my heart out during this one. The rest of the performance was awesome, but THE song that pushed me over the edge, that made me practically shed tears of joy was DAZED AND CONFUSED. Man, you all need to keep doing the green laser light effects for the bow solo. Holy $hit!!! I FINALLY got to see in person what it must have been like to see Jimmy standing there during the green laser show. Next time, let's bring out the fog machine that is used during No Quarter. I think it would be tight to do the lasers and the fog together! I'm pretty sure Zeppelin did both at some shows. Anyhow, what an amazing performance, guys! Wonderful job.... I recall hearing a small timing snafu during one song, but you all got back in sync very nicely. By the way, the screen with the in-action, live footage was kick-ass!!!! Keep that up too!!! (Poor Lady Joy, I know that had you running constantly the whole night, but it looked great! Thank you!) Keep up the good work, much love to you boys and to all the old Zepagain army buddies that came on out to party that night! --L. :)
Hammer of the Gods, Led Zepagain! We saw you again at the HOB a couple weeks ago and WOW, what a set you played! I can't tell you how jealous I am that you were actually seeing the golden boys at the O2 arena! I've been checking out You-Tube clips but nothing beats seeing them live. I was 16 yrs. old when I saw the mighty Led Zep at the fabulous Forum them hurried outside to follow the limo to their hotel. They lost us, of course, but what great memories! Thanks so much for being the next closest heartthrob to Robert, Jimmy, John Paul and Bonzo. I also trip out that Led Zeppelin draws fans of all ages. Rock on guys, we LOVE you!!!!
I just need to add that I loved the background video during your performance, especially one of my favorite songs Trampled Under Foot. The old film footage of people dancing. It fit perfectly.
I have to give Zepagain a lot of credit for playing in Norco in 30 degree weather and giving it there all for a great benefit. At the House of Blues (Sunset Blvd.)they were more warm and comfortable and what a show!!!!Swan was terrific (as usual) taking all of us on a majical journey...displaying his multi-talents by playing the harmonica on "Nobodys fault but mine". Jim Wooten got everybody going with the opening song "Good times the Bad times" with his isolated Bass strokes and the Keyboard on "Trampled Underfoot" was perfect and inspirational...talkin bout love!!! Jim "the big drum man" Kersey didn't get to do "Moby Dick " this time but thats OK because the interest in him performing it will have a few people around me coming to another show to witness that tune!!! Kersey contributions are enormous and sometime overshadowed by the 3 great musicians in front but he is Always on it and I mean ON IT!!! Which brings me to the Great Zukowsky......Steve Steve ohh Steve when your on your ON sir!!!!The Laser show and Fog made for one of the most memorable shows ever...almost mystical especially when playing "Dazed and Confused"!!!! People where so BLOWN AWAY by that including myself of course we were in disbelief and wonderment...your a rarity and totally one of the finest Hammer players of all time as far as I am concerned. I frequently go to concerts (quite obvious) and always wear my Led Zepagain shirts and everytime I will have no less than 3 people or more give me the thumbs up and yell STEVE!!!! Keep up the good work guys this world is definately a better place with you men in it....you have no idea how important, motivating and inspirational your music is all of us!!!! Every show is a unique in itself because there is SO SO much music the playlist varies!!! We saw at least a dozen fans from other shows...always enjoy interacting with fellow Zepagain fans!!!Bless everybody involved and we will see you all at the next show!!! Your Zepagain fan for life...has left the house but will be back again!!!
I made it to your show last night along with another fan that had gone to London as well. He had never seen you perform before. He was amazed and said when he closed his eyes he could pretend he was still in London! We thought you were GREAT!!! See you in the future, Lisa
I saw you at the House of Blues on Sunset strip. You are amazing! A gift to people like me who are (probably) never going to see Led Zeppelin perform live. Keep the music alive and thank you!
Reviews 2007:
All I can say is that, I agree with all of these reviews. After seeing other tribute bands over the years, you're left saying they're pretty good. But Zepagain, is by far, top of the field.
I just wanted to share with all of you that I was simply impressed with your performance. I was actually completely blown away, lost for words... I'm certainly not old enough to have been around when Zeppelin was in their hay day, but I have seen just about all of their videos and concerts on film and the comparison was amazing. The set list was incredible [same as the England show] and the sound was super tight. I'm so spreading the word about you guys and will be right up front again the next time you swing through Arizona. Keep up the good work, and thanks for keeping the music of the greatest band of all time alive! Big Led Zeppelin and now Led Zepagain fan, Natasha
If you ever get the chance to see Zepagain, go, no better yet, run there! After being disappointed in not being able to attend the O2 show (I tried everyway possible, lottery, contests, video contests, donations, etc.) the last thing I wanted to do on a Friday night was to see a tribute band after working for 10 hours. A friend suggested going to see them to lift our spirits since JP himself holds them in such high regards, they must be good. I had no intention of liking them or enjoying myself. So with that negative state of mind there I was and after the first few notes I was transformed to somewhere amazing. At first I had wondered if they were really playing or was it canned music, it was Zepagain alright. They were playing the same songs as LZ did at the O2 and my pitiful me mood disappeared immediately. They are a gift from the Gods of Rock. Steves guitar work will transcend you and Swans vocals are electric. Due to time constraints they werent able to do the entire O2 set; I could have listened to them all night. I am proud to say I am a fan of Zepagain, it was an honor to hear them and they do get it right (and then some).
Saw your gig at the Norco firestorm event and as usual you were stunning. This was a tribute band festival event to raise money for people who lost there houses in the fires this year. There were many different tribute bands and Led Zepagain came on last. When you guys came on you sounded soooo much better than the other bands. No comparison guys, none at all. You guys have taken Zep music and perfected it.
I flew out from California to see you for the first time in Tempe on Friday. And I just have to tell you, you were AMAZING! I have been a fan of Zeppelin all my life (John Bonham died on my 3rd birthday) and you really do a fantastic job of keeping their music and spirit alive. I couldn't stop dancing! THANKS :^) I look forward to seeing you guys again when you're 'Going to California'...
ROCK AND ROLL!!!! you Guys rock! I cant tell you how much i loved your show on friday night at the marquee theatre in tempe Az, i would dare to say that im the hugest zeppelin fanatic i know of and you guys my only dream mostly possible, id give anything in life to be able to see zeppelin tour just one more time, but your show was the next best thing and i thank you very much for it, it was flawless, please come back and kick ass again, and if you do come back to Az you gotta do one thing if you could, please play carouselambra, that would be the shit, that achilles last stand, thank you again!
I saw you last night at the Marquee Theater in Tempe, AZ. You were so amazing! My boyfriend and I were blown away by your performance and we had such a great time! I have been waiting for you to come back to AZ since I missed the show you did at the Mogollon up in Flagstaff. I had so many people tell me how great you were, and when I saw that you were coming I immediately went and bought tickets - and am very glad I did. You guys are SO talented. Great job!
Just saw your Bakersfield show at the Nile last Saturday night! You guys are AWESOME! I was really bummed when I realized I would probably never get to see the real Zeppelin play, but after seeing you guys, I am satisfied! You rocked the house and I was lovin every minute of it! I'm hoping to take my two sons to see you some time! They are only 8 and 9, but they love Zeppelin, and they would LOVE YOU! ROCK ON, GUYS! Hope to see you soon!

In early December 1980 the official press release came that Led Zeppelin could not continue on with out Bonzo. I was fifteen at the time and in my third year as a RABID Zep fan. I was crushed by the news. I have spent the last twenty seven years wondering "what if?" Well, on Dec 1st 2007 I had the honor of being at the Niles Theater in Bakersfield, Ca. to see Led Zepagain. I was blown away! You guys honor the legacy of Led Zeppelin every time you take the stage. I will see you soon. Enjoy the reunion show on the tenth.
Thank you so much for an awesome show. This is probably the closest to Led Zeppelin I will ever get. So I thank you for being so awesome. You definitely rocked the house. I will also be coming to see you at The House Of Blues on Jan 5th & was the one that requested you play "Ten Years Gone" for me in rememberance of my mother who passed away 2 weeks ago. She is the reason for my love of Zeppelin. You had me crying at this show when you played "Going To California" that is another song that reminds me of mom. Thank you so much. I loved you guys. Alina XXOO
Saw you guys at the Grove recently and at McMurphy's last night...just wanted to say a thousand thank yous for playing "Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You"...I've been waiting to hear you play that one (the entire song) for years now...you didn't disappoint and the crowd loved it...missed Wooten and Kersey's gong at McMurphy's but the intimate atmosphere was priceless...keep on rockin' and have an awesome trip across the pond to see the concert of a lifetime...wish I could be there!...we'll catch you when you return...
hey guys great show at the grove last weekend. it was the first time i saw you perform and i was completely blown away. great set list and great showmanship. zepagain is as close as it gets. ill being seeing more shows very soon.
The show at The Grove on Saturday night was the best I have seen in a long time. Now, all of the LZ shows are great, but there was just something special about this show, this night. What a great place for a show, great stage, AND great sound. I was at the front of the stage -- along with a group of teenagers. This was a surreal experience for me, because the first time that I saw Led Zeppelin I was 16 years old, and there I was rocking out with 16 year olds seeing Led Zepagain. Surreal!!! I won't forget the looks in their eyes as you launched into Kashmir. It was Magic, with a Capital M! For me, the magic was in Moby Dick -- I love it when Kersey has the gong behind him. When he hits it, I feel like I am watching Bonzo! Like I said, magic! It wasn't a perfect night, though. I think the beer lines were the slowest EVER, and your fans were getting really angry, including me. I missed your first couple of songs because I had been waiting in line for so long that I didn't want to get OUT of line! The Grove really needs to do something about their concessions. Plus, I don't know how anyone can SIT when you are playing, as the back half of the place was. That just amazes me every time. (Zeppelin music was made for dancing and FEELING, people. Get up and groove!) Swan, Steve, Jim and Jim -- thanks for a great time! See you again soon....
Having seen this band well over 200 times in over 5 years I have limited my reviews to shows with what I would consider stellar performance. It gets tough coming up with new alcolades for these guys over and over again. Last Saturday night had a special moment during the encore that shows just how tight and professional these four guys are. When Zepagain started the Whole Lotta Love medley into each show there was always the anticipation of 'what are they going to do next.' After seeing them about a hundred times it just became difficult for these guys to impress me. Saturday the encore impressed me. It started with HEARTBREAKER and I thought that would be it as the band was already over an hour and half. Nope, great segue into WHOLE LOTTA LOVE with ROCK AND ROLL put into the mix as well. Here comes the special part that only the well trained eye would pick up. At the end of ROCK AND ROLL that should have been the end of the show. Swan said 'goodnight and thank you,' Steve turned his back and was on his way to the amp to unplug, and the Mutant was getting ready to break down the bass. However Bonzo the animal Kersey broke into the second half of WHOLE LOTTE LOVE. Everybody engaged and nobody missed a beat. Aside from the band actually laughing at each other about nobody would be the wiser. I just love improvised shit like that. We had a few first timers their that night and they were simply blown away and had smiles on their faces all night long. Great great great show. Ramble on, Mark 218
Each time I hear the boys do Immigrant Song, I just die from excitement! They came out wearing and tearing and owning the damn place. The crowd was sizzling from emotion... it was mighty hot inside! Babe I'm Gonna Leave You was a bitchin' surprise! That's one of my personal favorites to headbang to. :) In The Light was ANOTHER major surprise. That's a rarity and we were blessed with that treat that evening. I always love hearing Kashmir. And even when there's a small boo-boo in performance of the song, it's still okay with me. I still look on like an approving mom watches her kid perform on stage and encourages them to continue, haha! Moby Dick was killer. I noticed Mr. KerseyBonzo's newest addition to his kit... I don't know the proper name, but those new drum thingys are bad-ass! So I'm watching the boys and I run out to make a "quick" beer run at the bar. Unfortunately, I missed out on them doing Black Country Woman and Bron-Yr-Stomp. I could hear it clearly and you all did an wonderful job! Please play those two more often! Too bad the bar lines at The Grove were just out of control slow... Led Zepagain, slip me a six-pack of beer off to the side of the stage next time, will ya? ;) That final solo of How Many More Times going into Whole Lotta Love going into Rock and Roll is just mega insane and the fucken best!!! Everyone was hopping and shrieking, including myself. It was awesome to see Alicia come back to another show! I was also very happy to see Rich taking care of the boys on stage. Hope you're feeling better, Rich! No one keeps things rolling like Rich. Mary J - it was awesome to FINALLY meet you! We must headbang more often! Hugs to you all, --L. :)
